Account Manager

We are seeking a high energy logistics professional to join our team as Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for directly managing and developing a strategic portfolio of existing customer accounts.

Developing and nurturing key relationships within these customers to sustain and grow the accounts by providing exceptional customer service and identifying growth opportunities will be key to the success of this role.

Key functions of the Role are: –

  • Account management of a large customer portfolio, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of service solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Weekly reporting to Sales Management
  • Successful development of business relationships with key stakeholders of your existing clients
  • Commercial management of customer accounts and dispute resolution
  • Contributing to the development of your portfolio by identifying and converting extension or business growth opportunities
  • Analysing company performance in the portfolio of customers and working through solutions to solve and improve systemic issues or trends
  • Supporting revenue and yield initiatives to drive better financial outcomes
  • Lead all customer driven projects including the implementation of new services and initiatives with portfolio customers
  • Developing and presenting analytical reporting to produce key customer insights

To be successful for this exciting opportunity you must demonstrate: –

  • Industry experience in a Business Development, Account Management or Customer Service role within the logistics industry essential
  • Prior experience in strategy development would be desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects across a portfolio of clients
  • Proven ability to identify and introduce ideas to enhance and increase customer and service quality
  • Highly developed communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience producing professional presentations
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High IT competency including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Transport and Logistics preferred
