The role will be based at both out Acacia Ridge and Lytton warehouses. The Storeperson role ensures orders and freight are stored, picked, packed, and loaded onto trucks safely. This includes checking paperwork, cross checking stock to ensure its correct and communicating with the Warehouse Supervisor if there are any issues. Some administrational support is included in the role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload general freight (various types of freight)
• Operate MHE (Forklifts) counterbalance and high reach to Pick / Pack orders as required
• Load and unload freight on vehicles
• Load and unload freight from containers
• Administrational support as required
• Effective communication with warehouse staff, drivers, customers
• Ensure freight in/out is managed from beginning to end
• Stock take and inventory control
• Assist in ensuring facility is safe, clean and maintained in a tidy state – arranging stock, housekeeping, etc
• Work to promote safe work practices and safe working environments
• Operate between Lytton and Acacia Ridge warehouses based on operational requirements (method of transportation provided between sites).

Skills, experience and qualifications essential for the role:

• Strong attention to detail: able to pick correct products and cross check
• Current QLD drivers license and Forklift license essential
• Experience in forklift operation
• Prior experience in a warehouse/store person role
• Experience in administrational role
• Operational knowledge in a general freight transport business
• The ability to work in a team environment, as a team member
• Reliable, punctual and takes initiative
