COVID-19 COMPULSORY WORK PRACTICES
We appreciate your commitment towards Team Transport & Logistics and the efforts in adapting work practices to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

Although the risk of spread within Queensland has reduced over the recent months, in light of the recent spike in cases throughout Australia, we wish to remind you that hygiene and social distancing practices continue to be mandatory in our workplaces, as per federal Government guidelines:

  • Keep 1.5m distance from each other at all times
  • Sanitise your hands and equipment
  • Regularly sanitise and clean touchpoints

If you cannot maintain 1.5m distance from others on site, please raise your concern with management so that changes can be made to ensure the safety our workers and others.

In addition, please ensure when exiting/swapping company vehicles that all areas are cleaned and sanitised.
In the Depots, please wipe down all touch points and surfaces whenever available to do so to ensure areas are clean and sanitised regularly.  Our cleaners are cleaning more regularly but every bit helps.

Please continue to wash your hands thoroughly and regularly.

Spray bottles of sanitiser, gloves and masks are available at the Iris Place, Acacia Ridge Depot (located in the Workshop).

The recent cases and consequent lockdown in Victoria remind us that the risk remains present and we cannot become complacent in our actions. We must continue to adapt our work and personal practices to reduce the spread of germs and keep ourselves and those around us unaffected from COVID-19.

COVID-19 BORDER PASSES (QLD)

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, entry to Queensland is temporarily restricted by the Chief Health Officer under the Border Restrictions Direction.

You are only permitted to enter Queensland in accordance with the Border Restrictions Direction (No 8) AND you are required to complete a Queensland Border Declaration Pass.  This must be completed every 7 days until the Qld Government advise.  (For all drivers going beyond the border at Tweed Heads and returning “MUST HAVE A BORDER PASS”.  If you require assistance please contact Kristie, Bianca or Diane in the Acacia Ridge office.

In addition to completing a Queensland Border Declaration Pass, all drivers/travellers are also required to keep and retain a written record of close contacts (as defined in the Public Health Declaration) for a period of at least 14 days.  This requirement for truck drivers has been previously advised and is likely to remain in place for some time yet.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Kind regards,

Team Transport & Logistics Management Team
