13th March 2020

To our valued Customers, Employees and Contractors

I am writing to you regarding the evolving situation and escalating headlines about the Coronavirus Outbreak (COVID-19).

Queensland Health and the Australian Department of Health are working tirelessly to manage and contain the impact of this virus for Australians and Queenslanders alike. They are regularly updating travel advice (https://www.smartraveller.gov.au/) as new information emerges.

Any employees, contractors or customers that have travelled to the below sites are not permitted to visit/enter any Team Transport depots for a minimum of 14 days since returning to Australia. Additionally, if you or anyone who lives with you, has been to any of the below countries in the last month and are experiencing flu like symptoms you are not permitted to visit/enter any Team Transport depot.

(Mainland China, Iran, Republic of Korea and Italy).

We will provide updates on any further countries affected as we become aware.

Team Transport & Logistics will continue to monitor the situation and identify and manage any impacts it may have moving forward. You can be assured that we have been preparing and stand ready to act should the need arise.

I wanted to also provide you with some more information about the approach that we may take if a COVID-19 case is identified within our company.

If there is a confirmed case at any of our depots, it is likely our staff may be deployed to work at remote locations or other offices for a period to allow us to assess the situation and to perform contact tracing as required to identify people who may have come in contact with the COVID-19 case.

In combination with the above, Team Transport & Logistics has also executed the below policy:

If you or any of your family develop flu-like symptoms, please:

Stay home and avoid close contact with others such as touching, kissing, hugging or any mass gatherings.

See a doctor or contact 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) immediately;

Seek medical advice if you or your family have other underlying medical conditions; and call ahead to the medical centre or doctor’s surgery, advising of your symptoms.

Please inform the Team Transport management team if you have been exposed to the virus or show symptoms of infection, or a member of your household has particular vulnerabilities such as a weakened immune system that may require enhanced protections from infection. Further, any employees or contractors with symptoms of infection will be sent home or instructed to stay home, and any clients or visitors who have been exposed or who have symptoms will be excluded from our workplace.

It is equally important we all continue to:

Wash our hands regularly with soap and water, particularly before and after eating, and after going to the toilet;

Use alcohol-based hand sanitiser if soap is unavailable;

Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of our elbow; and

Dispose of tissues in the bin immediately.

Further advice, updates and information about the coronavirus is available on the Australian Government Department of Health website:

https://www.health.gov.au/news/health-alerts/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-health-alert

Again, while you can be reassured that Team Transport & Logistics are taking all necessary measures to contain COVID-19, it is important for me to keep information flowing to ensure we are all informed and prepared, should this public health issue be facing Team Transport directly.

In this uncertain moment, I have every confidence in our company’s ability to pull together with kindness, care and concern for the common good.

Our Business Continuity Plan Statement is below for your information.

Warm regards
Kylie Wilkinson

13th March 2020                               Novel Coronavirus (nCoV) COVID-19

The World Health Organisation (WHO) recently declared the Coronavirus outbreak a public health emergency of international concern.

Following damage from a disaster or catastrophic event, our company will be able to maintain its important functions uninterrupted wherever possible, or if interrupted, to quickly restore them. The plans provide for work from home, describe how to implement the necessary supporting information infrastructure, and ways to review and replenish our emergency supplies.

Team Transport & Logistics are committed to maintaining the safety and security of all of its staff, visitors, information, buildings and other assets from serious disruption and to continued delivery of our transport and logistics services to our clients.

Our objective is to minimise disruption to our business, our employees, clients and suppliers and to ensure the continuation of our business during and following any critical incident that results in disruption to our normal operational capabilities.

Our Business Continuity Plan includes but is not limited to the following:

  • To give the highest priority to the lives and safety of our employees, contractors their families, and all other parties concerned.
  • To protect our assets and maintain capacity for transportation, storage, information etc in order to continue to provide transport and logistics services for our clients.
  • To rapidly grasp the situation and prevent the spread of damage, returning operations to normality as soon as possible.
  • Designation of essential operations and plans to reassign staff from
    non-critical functions if employee absence is a threat.
  • To fulfill our social responsibilities in the event of a disaster
  • To implement regular disaster education and training and be committed to reviewing and improving our business continuity plan at all times.
  • Assess our risk management and have adequate controls and measures in place to mitigate disruption and ensure adequate recovery processes are in place
  • Define and prioritise our critical business functions
  • Ensure additional actions are taken in line with occupational health and public health practices and key regulators as they emerge.

 Team Transport & Logistics’ support to our clients and our people
We fully recognise that the threat posed by COVID-19 may cause anxiety among our people and their families. We also recognise the potential for mental and physical strain on our people, given the impact of deploying our own BCP plan and dealing with any increased absence within our own organisation. Given this, our plan also includes additional information to our clients, communications for our people and critical incident support in addition to our ongoing services.

Our commitment to you
Team Transport & Logistics is committed to the continuity of all our services, and partnering with our clients to support the health and well-being of our people throughout this period of escalated concern and on an ongoing basis.  Your Team Transport & Logistics representative is available to answer questions or provide additional support as indicated.

Confidentiality Statement
The access to the business continuity plan is strictly controlled. Company data includes private personnel data, proprietary patents and designs, and marketing information. The information in this plan is distributed only to company personnel with a “need to know” and with the understanding that they will hold this information confidential and will not disclose any information in this plan to third parties without the prior written consent of the company or the filing by the third party of a binding non-disclosure statement that has been vetted by legal representation.
