In transport and logistics, delays cost more than just dollars, they disrupt schedules, supply chains, and customer trust. That’s why at Team Transport & Logistics, we’ve invested in something many providers don’t have: a fully equipped, in-house heavy vehicle mechanical workshop.
It might not be the most visible part of our business, but it’s a key reason we’re able to deliver the level of service our customers expect.
Why Our Workshop Matters
More Reliable Deliveries
Because we maintain our own fleet of Kenworths, DAFs, Fuso’s, Truck Mounted & Pick & Carry Cranes, Moffett Forks and all trailing equipment in-house, we don’t have to wait on third-party mechanics. My team and I can catch issues early, fix them fast, and keep our trucks on the road so deliveries arrive when they should.
Faster Turnaround on Repairs
Unexpected breakdowns happen, but with our own crew we’re not at the mercy of external delays. Our auto electrician and mobile mechanic, Rodney Pascoe (with Team since 2001), often has trucks back up and running roadside before most people have even booked a service appointment.
NHVAS-Accredited Maintenance
We operate under the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS), meeting strict standards for servicing, defect management, and recordkeeping. With Paul “Woody” Woodford (our lead mechanic since 1997) and his sons Dale (qualified mechanic) and Brock (apprentice) on the tools, alongside Stephen Graham (boilermaker since 2012) and his son Jai (apprentice turned mechanic), compliance isn’t just a tick-box, it’s part of how we work every day.
Consistent Fleet Performance
Every truck is looked after to the same high standard. Andrew Schiller (mechanic and tyre fitter since 2018) makes sure tyres and safety go hand in hand, while Matt Crosby adds depth as another skilled diesel mechanic. Behind the scenes, Renae, who also happens to be my wonderful wife, keeps all servicing and repairs scheduled on time, while Sue supports both the workshop and company accounts, so nothing gets overlooked.
More Than Spanners & Paperwork
I’m proud of the way our workshop team goes beyond just “fixing trucks.” We understand that for our drivers, their truck is their office, the place they spend most of their working lives. Every service or repair is about more than compliance; it’s about making sure our drivers are comfortable, safe, and confident when they hit the road.
Investing in Reliability, So You Don’t Have to Worry
By running our own workshop, we’ve removed one of the biggest variables in transport: downtime. Unlike many competitors who rely on external OEM workshops often waiting days, sometimes weeks to secure bookings, we handle everything in-house. That means our trucks are serviced on our schedule, not someone else’s, keeping freight moving without unnecessary delays.
With a team that has decades of combined loyalty and experience, we can guarantee fewer breakdowns, more reliable deliveries, and peace of mind for our customers and drivers.
Behind every delivery is a business counting on us.
Thanks to my team, Woody, Rodney, Stephen, Jai, Dale, Brock, Andrew, Matt, Renae, and Sue, I know we’ll get the job done safely, compliantly, and on time.
